We have a raft of opportunities available across two major healthcare services in the Northern Mallee. Mildura Base Public Hospital is a 172-bed teaching hospital in a large regional centre, while Mallee Track Health and Community Service provides a range of health and aged care services across many small rural towns in the region.

Our education and career pathway programs are designed to help foster careers at Mildura Base Public Hospital and Mallee Track Health and Community Service in health, mental health, aged care and community service.
Through our connections with schools, TAFEs and universities we open up opportunities for participation and lifelong learning with work experience and training programs such as taster days for secondary school students, and work placements for tertiary students, as well as graduate programs and Transition to Practice programs for post-tertiary candidates.

Mildura, nestled in the heart of the Northern Mallee, is a growing regional centre on the banks of the Murray River. This sunny oasis offers a blend of productive fruit orchards, vineyards, lakes, national parks, and vast outback landscapes. Situated 475 km north-west of Melbourne, halfway between Adelaide and Sydney, and with a local regional airport, it’s a great base for exploring.
Nearby Ouyen and Sea Lake are friendly country towns with easy access to the regional centres of Mildura to the north and Swan Hill to the east.
